Data Classification Workgroup

Data Classification schemes are used to ensure that access to information and other assets is correctly managed and safeguarded to an agreed and proportionate level throughout their lifecycle, including creation, storage, transmission and destruction. The SIAF workgroup specifically looks at the issues of data classification, where information is being transferred between organisations using different classification schemes.

   IA Metrics Workgroup

In today's current financial climate, organisations are being forced to tighten their belts and security budgets are being cut. SIAF is reviewing and identifying metrics associated to generic security controls identified within international and Government standards. The development and understanding of IA metrics within business, allows for the introduction of appropriate Key Performance Indicators within organisations.

  Good Practice Workgroup

This workgroup identifies areas of IA good practice across various business sectors and facilitates the sharing of these methods within the SIAF community.
